Monte Carlo here i come!!

Well what can i say!
Entered a $240 buy in tournament with a guaranteed seat for the Grand final of the EPT in Monte Carlo - the most prestigious poker tournament outside the USA - and guess who came first? hehe!!
What I didnt realise was that this was a shootout. 61 people entered and were were distibuted on 9 tables and the winner of each table would go on to the final table and teh eventual winner takes the prize!
Well i was chip leader after about 3 hands and with 3 left in the first stage I managed to win all the chips.
On the final table i started well and was 2nd/3rd in chips for most of the game.
The most trickest player was Jonny who was chipleader for most of the game until it was heads up.
I had some luck on the way, when it was 3 handed, the german guy wasnt playing a hand, i even joked if he had gone to sleep, and told him sacastically that I thought it was heads up with Jonny. A few hands later he came to life and raised preflop 3 times. The 4th time he raised preflop I went over the top and jammed my stack in the middle with 96o. He thought about it and called with AJo and the flop came 972. The turn and river was no help and he was eliminated in 3rd.
So heads up with Jonny it was and we were about equal in chips. The prize was $14750 for the buy in to monte carlo, hotels, buffet meals for the players and $1500 for flights and spending.
Jonny asked if we should let the winner take the prize and the loser take the $1500's. I agreed as he was a very strong player and he had slightly more chips and the fact that i thought that was fair (in case i lost, lol). But really i knew i wasnt going to lose heads up.
The turning point in the game was when I had A10 v his A9. Jonny raised preflop and i instantly went all in. The flop came 1054 and the turn was no go to Jonny so I had 75% of teh chips. Once I was in this position there was no way i was losing. Without blowing my own truppet, I have far to much experience in heads up play to be losing this one.
Eventually i bullied Jonny out of the tournament and ended the night a very happy man!
